In a video post Sue told fans: 'Hi I'm Sue Cleaver and I'm playing Mother Superior in Sister Act.
'Today we're here to do a photoshoot for the launch of the new Sister Act tour. So getting to meet everybody, getting into costume, having those pictures done. So, we've got lights, we've got cameras - and we've got a nun!'
Speaking about why she is taking on the role, Sue confessed it's been over 30 years since she's been on stage, but said theatre has always been her first love.'
She added: 'I'm a real fan of Sister Act the film and the musical. I mean what's not to love?
'This is a great experience for all the family. It's very accessible, it's fun, it's uplifting. Yeah, everyone needs a bit of Sister Act in their lives.'
Her fans went wild for the look as they commented that they couldn't wait to come and see the show.
It comes after earlier this year Sue revealed she was rushed into intensive care after undergoing emergency surgery.
The star spoke out about the 'scary, scary' time during an appearance on Loose Women in August, also revealing she had a hysterectomy in March.

She was keen to share her health woes with viewers after diet companies used her image without consent while claiming she had lost weight using their gummies.
Speaking about her ordeal, she said: 'I had a really bad year. I had a hysterectomy in March. Then a few weeks ago, I ended up in A&E, I don't need to go into details, but I have not been on a diet this year. I have been seriously ill.
'It was a scary scary time. I had surgery and ended up in intensive care. There is no diet, there are no gummies. These companies pray on vulnerable people all the time.'
It's not clear if the surgery was related to her hysterectomy.
Sue went on to reveal she was actively trying to gain weight, clearing up: 'only on my bum. The NHS have brought me a cushion around to sit on.
'I would like to go to a shop where I can Buy Keto XP a Victoria sponge bum cake or something so I can choose where I want to put it on!'
Speaking about the reaction to her weight loss, she added: 'When someone says omg you look amazing, what I hear is 'you looked like an absolute dog before.''
The week before Sue alerted her 148,000 Instagram followers to the scam, apologizing to anyone who had believed she was promoting it.
In the clip, she shared: 'I'm really, really sad that I have to actually make this video. But, I've had quite a lot of messages over the last couple of weeks asking me about… keto dummies.

'Yes, I lost some weight last year. I stopped drinking and I went in the jungle. Yes, I have lost weight this year. But not from any diet.'
Sue went on to reveal that she had 'women's health issues' which contributed to the weight loss, concluding: 'Life's too short to worry about dieting and finding quick fixes. Just be happy with yourself.'
